SGS Laboratory Technician Job Description
This job opportunity involves conducting laboratory testing on agricultural samples, including grain, feed, and pulse. Responsibilities include sample log in and preparation, conducting required tests such as moisture, protein, and falling number, and performing routine instrument maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory testing on agricultural samples.
- Prepare samples by grinding and logging them in.
- Perform tests using various instruments (NIR, ELISA, etc.).
- Maintain and record instrument calibrations.
- Adhere to labeling and documentation procedures.
- Ensure a clean and safe laboratory environment.
- Provide accurate and timely results.
- Travel to client sites as needed.
Eligibility Criteria Required For Laboratory Technician Job
- A post-secondary education (degree and/or diploma) in a Science-related program (Agriculture, Food Science, etc.) is required.
- A minimum of 1 – 3 years of experience in an Agricultural laboratory setting is required.
- A valid Driver License is required.
