Job Description: CRC I Role
The Clinical Research Coordinator, Level 1 (CRC I) is a research professional responsible for supporting the oversight and compliance of both system-wide and local Shriners Children’s clinical research activities. Reporting to the Clinical Research Program Manager and collaborating with the Research Programs Office, the CRC provides essential support following SHC policies, hospital regulations, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. This role involves working closely with investigators, research staff, and clinical teams to ethically recruit and manage pediatric research participants while safeguarding research data. In this CRC I role, the coordinator serves as a key liaison among all stakeholders to ensure proper study conduct, subject safety, and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports the implementation and conduct of approved research protocols, ensuring compliance with GCP and SHC policies.
- Performs study-specific research activities within professional licensure and training.
- Assists with participant recruitment, screening, informed consent, and scheduling of study visits.
- Coordinates the collection and documentation of research data.
- Maintains regulatory documentation and study records as per institutional policies.
- Facilitates communication between investigators, sponsors, and institutional departments involved in research.
- Assists with the development and submission of research protocols and regulatory documentation.
- Contributes to study progress reports, monitoring visits, and preparation of study results.
CRC I Position Eligibility Criteria
- One or more years of relevant research experience, such as site management, study management, or data collection.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Research, Life Sciences, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of clinical research regulations and guidance (e.g., GCP, FDA regulations).
- Experience coordinating intergroup or multi-site clinical studies.
- CCRP or CCRC certification is a plus.
- 1 or more years of relevant research experience in study coordination or clinical data management.
Salary: The pay range for this position is $31.09 – $46.64/hour.
