About the Opportunity:
The Stem Cell Biologist role focuses on generating neural cell subtypes for cell therapies and disease modeling, contributing to the university’s leadership in pre-clinical neuroscience. The candidate will conduct research independently and as part of a team, with a focus on developing new therapies for diseases such as Parkinson’s disease and stroke.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Apply expertise in neural differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells
- Maintain stem cell lines and ensure quality assurance
- Train staff and students in relevant laboratory techniques
- Contribute to research publications and presentations
- Develop a research profile and collaborate with others in the field
- Contribute to grant applications and funding opportunities
- Mentor academics and supervise research projects
- Contribute to a positive workplace culture and strategic agenda
About You:
PhD in a relevant area
Demonstrated expertise in pluripotent stem cell biology with neural focus
Passion for research in neuroscience and disease modeling
Team-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects
