About the Opportunity
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is seeking a Clinical Scientist/Diagnostic Genomics Analyst based in Bowen Hills, Brisbane, QLD. This critical role advances our genetic testing capabilities and is responsible for the precise analysis and interpretation of genetic data. More specifically, your responsibilities include analysis, variant curation, interpretation of genomic test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability, providing expert advice, training, and effective communication with clinicians and laboratories.
About You
Ideal candidates will have a PhD in a field related to clinical genomics or hold a relevant fellowship (e.g., FHGSA or RCPA Faculty of Science).
Additionally, we value candidates with the following background and skills:
- Experience in diagnostic genomics, particularly with NGS and variant curation in oncology
- Capability to enhance your technical skills in a practical, diagnostic setting
- Exceptional attention to detail, efficiency, and strong record-keeping and documentation skills
- Bioinformatics skills, including scripting, are highly desirable
- Experience in genetic testing, especially in germline and somatic testing
