Job Description
Overview
The Environmental Transformation and Interaction Team at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is seeking an undergraduate intern for utilizing MALDI-MSI to study the lipidome of the human lung. The candidate will work with advanced microscopy techniques to analyze human pulmonary tissues and may engage in proteomics and lipidomics research.
Responsibilities
The role involves generating molecular maps of human pulmonary tissues, analyzing tissues from healthy and BPD patients, and conducting microbiology and biochemistry experiments. Strong attention to detail, lab skills, and the ability to follow protocols are essential for this hands-on role.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED or higher
- Enrolled degree-seeking undergraduate student
- At least 6 credit hours with a cumulative GPA of 2.5
Preferred Qualifications:
- Major in biology, biotechnology, chemistry, biochemistry, or related field
