Base salary range: $108,509 โ $128,404 p.a. plus 17% superannuation, depending on qualifications, skills and experience
About the team

About the Opportunity
Reporting to Professor David Edwards, you will contribute to and lead the preparation of research and review papers in the field of applied bioinformatics, undertake applied bioinformatics research, and support the continued success of the applied bioinformatics group. This role involves supervision of other research team members and teaching responsibilities.
Selection Criteria
To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate:
- PhD in applied bioinformatics, or a relevant combination of experience and education or training
- Experience in genome analysis, preferably with plant genomes
- Extensive experience in writing scientific manuscripts and reports
- Proficiency in a range of computing skills including Linux and specialist bioinformatics software
- Knowledge and experience of pangenomics or machine learning applications is desirable
