Bio-Rad’s R&D Scientist Intern will support the Life Science Group’s New Technologies Team through execution and analysis of experiments. As a valued member of this team, you will contribute to the development of innovative applications through intellectual curiosity, experiment execution, data analysis, and internal presentations. Additionally, you will collaborate with bioinformatics specialists, marketing professionals, and other stakeholders to deliver applications and products that enhance and support our customers’ needs.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- You will independently execute effective experiments and perform basic data analysis
- Utilize literature and data-driven approaches to make effective decisions relating to experimental design and execution
- Effectively document and communicate data and findings to the internal team as well as appropriate general audiences
- Work collaboratively in a team environment
What You Bring:
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or a graduate student pursuing a degree related to Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Biotechnology
- Demonstrated understanding and experience with PCR
- Experience with next-generation sequencing, qPCR and/or ddPCR is preferred but not required
- Ability to work for a minimum of 10 consecutive weeks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of tools
- Strong ability to work in a fast-paced team setting
