Job Details: Scientist (Ligand-Binding Assay)
Description: PDS is seeking a Scientist with experience in Ligand-binding assays to join our team in Ewing, NJ. The successful candidate is able to apply prior experience and knowledge to successfully perform in a laboratory environment under regulated conditions.
Salary: The salary range for the role is $70,000 – $85,000 per year commensurate with experience. Smithers PDS has a comprehensive health insurance package including a choice of 3 medical plans, dental, vision, 401K retirement plan and PTO.
Essential Position Responsibilities:
- Experience and knowledge of Ligand-binding assays
- Experience in Molecular biology techniques
- Experience in Cell biology techniques
- Independently performs service tasks as directed
- Assists with method transfer, development, and troubleshooting
- Responsible for data interpretation and provide data summaries
- Performs study activities to meet regulatory requirements
- Maintains experimental records and raw data securely
- Reviews and checks data generated by other staff
- Works safely with hazardous substances
- Functions effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere
Additional Position Requirements:
- Mentoring and training junior staff
- Become a Subject Matter Expert
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Biological or Physical Sciences
- 2 – 3 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of GLP regulations
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
