WuXi XDC Microbiology Job Description
The Senior Associate Scientist will be responsible for performing quality control microbiological testing of various materials and products under cGMP conditions. This WuXi XDC microbiology job also includes supporting instrument qualification, managing microbiological inventory, and ensuring adherence to laboratory data management principles.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor Degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or medical devices industry, with experience in a laboratory environment preferred.
- Familiarity with PICS, ICH, Singapore HSA, FDA, EMA, NMPA, WHO technical guidelines, and USP, Eur.P, ChP pharmacopoeias.
- Knowledge of GMP manufacturing is preferred.
WuXi XDC microbiology job – Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality control microbiological testing of raw materials, incoming goods, intermediates, in-process, drug substance, and/or finished products under cGMP conditions for QC release or part of stability studies.
- Monitor and test the facility and utilities system.
- Support instrument qualification.
- Coordinate calibration, preventative maintenance, and repairs of laboratory instruments/equipment.
- Support aseptic process simulations.
- Assist in microbiological method transfer, development, validation, verification, and suitability.
- Conduct periodic reviews of laboratory documents.
- Manage microbiological inventory required for sampling and testing.
- Ensure adherence to ALCOA principles for managing laboratory data.
- Maintain individual training records and adhere to site/job role training plans.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain laboratory housekeeping using the 5S approach.
- Ensure timely escalation of investigations, accidents, near misses, and breaches of policies.
- Carry out tasks required by the reporting Manager.
