Job Description

As a Microbiologist 1 1, you will operate within the Technical Services Department at Charles River’s Dublin facility. The role involves microbial testing, LAL assays, and supporting product safety and quality for pharmaceutical clients worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform LAL testing (gel-clot, kinetic, and PTS) and maintain related documentation.
  • Conduct method development, validation, and contract laboratory testing for Celsis and LAL.
  • Carry out microbial culture isolation, growth, and maintenance.
  • Manage bioburden testing, membrane filtration, and cleaning validations.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, ISO, and internal SOPs.
  • Maintain laboratory consumables, equipment, and calibration schedules.
  • Support SOP development and equipment qualification documentation.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience in a microbiology laboratory; cGMP environment preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel; basic knowledge of algebra.
  • Ability to work in lab environments with biohazards, chemicals, and PPE requirements.
