Job Description
The Quality Control Specialist I supports manufacturing activities by performing routine testing, quality control procedures, and documentation in compliance with ISO13485 standards. The role encompasses a range of laboratory techniques, including electrophoresis, PCR, ELISA, DNA/RNA extraction, protein purification, and HPLC. You will also ensure accurate record-keeping, maintain laboratory standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely product release.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct QC testing on manufactured and incoming materials to support product release.
- Perform assays such as SDS-PAGE, PCR, ELISA, HPLC, and protein purification.
- Document results following good documentation practices (GDP) and ISO13485 standards.
- Support lab compliance, maintenance, and daily operations, including Tier 1 meetings.
- Communicate technical issues promptly and assist in troubleshooting.
- Cross-train across multiple QC and production assays to enhance flexibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field).
- 0–2 years of laboratory experience (chemistry, biochemistry, or related areas).
- Knowledge of GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office; SAP/ERP systems preferred.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
