Job Summary:
The Microbiologist II will perform GMP testing of raw materials, in-process and finished products, stability samples, and non-routine analyses, ensuring compliance with established methodologies and industry standards.
Qualifications & Experience:

BS in Microbiology or related field (or equivalent industry experience required).

2โ4 years of experience in pharmaceutical microbiology or drug industry (FDA-regulated preferred).

Hands-on experience with endotoxin, sterility, bioburden, microbial identification, growth promotion, and environmental monitoring testing.

Strong knowledge of cGMP/GLP practices.
-
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Proficiency in computer applications, spreadsheets, and data management systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct sterility and endotoxin testing for release, stability, and validation.

Perform and review growth promotion testing for microbial culture media.
-
Carry out microbial identification for product and environmental testing.

Record GMP data and monitor QC systems, water systems, and environmental chambers.

Maintain sterility testing areas in a state of cGMP compliance.

Author and execute method validation/suitability protocols, as well as deviation and assessment reports.

Support audits by internal teams, government agencies, and contract manufacturers.

Provide technical input on product testing, instrumentation, and equipment.

Maintain metrics for sample receipt and processing.

Document assay failures and complaint investigations.

Revise SOPs and GMP documentation as needed.
