Educational Requirements for the Biologist Role:

Assistant Level:

  • AA or BS degree inย Biology,ย or a related field.
  • 6โ€“12 months of applicable laboratory experience.

Associate Level:

  • AA or BS degree in ย Biology,ย or related discipline.
  • 2 years of applicable laboratory experience.

Key Responsibilities of the Biologist Role:

  • Perform environmental monitoring in classified areas and utility systems.
  • Collect and test environmental, utility, raw material, and validation samples using established test methods.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Participate in non-routine tasks, including housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and project support.
  • Assist in method validations, comparison studies, and standard/control preparations.
  • Accurately document and communicate results in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and quality procedures in laboratory and production environments.

Skills Required for the Biologist Role:

  • Strong laboratory skills, including sample testing and data interpretation.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a regulated environment (GMP/GLP).
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, lift up to 35 lbs, and wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Good color vision and manual dexterity for precise laboratory work.
