Job Description

The Tissue Culture Laboratory Technician will support laboratory kit production while following Good Manufacturing Procedures and FDA requirements. The role involves preparing raw materials, reviewing production data, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring consistent product quality. The selected candidate will also assist with laboratory troubleshooting, sample testing, and coordination with other departments to support daily laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure laboratory kits are produced on time according to established manufacturing procedures.
  • Maintain the availability of raw materials, including chemicals, antigens, serums, and plasmas.
  • Follow FDA requirements and maintain accurate, updated laboratory documentation.
  • Participate in cycle counts and inventory-related activities.
  • Review kit production data to maintain product quality and consistency.
  • Assist Technical Services in troubleshooting production and testing issues.
  • Support sample and kit testing to address customer complaints or requirements.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth laboratory operations.

Educational Requirements and Eligibility

  • Qualification: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
  • Preferred Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Biology.
  • Experience: Previous laboratory experience is required.
  • Academic Background: Science-related education and laboratory experience.

Skills 

  • Basic knowledge of Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, and aseptic techniques.
  • Experience with sample preparation and pipetting.
  • Understanding of good laboratory practices.
  • Ability to read and accurately follow written laboratory procedures.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including dilution calculations.
  • Ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as automated plate washers, readers, and pH meters.
  • Basic computer skills for laboratory tasks and documentation.

Work Schedule

This Biology Job at Actalent is a fully onsite position in Branchburg, New Jersey, with the following scheduled working hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Friday: 7:15 AM – 11:15 AM
