• Doctorate degree by December 2020 OR Master’s degree and 4 years of Scientific Experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Scientific Experience

Job Description

• The primary responsibility of a PKDM Scientist will be to routinely test the cytochrome P450 (CYP) induction potential of small molecule drug candidates using primary human hepatocytes and measuring the resulting transcript levels with test article treatment relative to prototypical inducers. The role will require data interpretation and communication of results to project team representatives in support of drug discovery and development.
• The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to execute experiments to quantitate CYP induction by in vitro assay in support of both drug discovery and early development programs. This Amgen Biotech Jobs – the role requires an excellent understanding of preclinical ADME, drug-metabolizing enzyme transcriptional regulation, and molecular pharmacology techniques and an individual that can work collaboratively in a fast-paced work environment. The candidate will work as a member of the small molecule ADME group and will be responsible for cell culture of primary human hepatocytes and human hepatocyte-derived cell lines to execute induction screening. Other responsibilities will include basic biochemistry research, electronic laboratory notebook keeping and communication of results to project teams.
