Key Responsibilities for Assistant Scientist

Perform process unit operations according to standard operating procedures and batch records
-
Participate in tech transfer of the process from the development lab to cGMP facility
-
Assist in drafting standard operating procedures and batch records
-
Work with Process Development and Quality teams to manufacture products under cGMP
-
Perform tasks in compliance with safety policies, quality systems, and cGMP requirements as Assistant Scientist
-
Weekend work may be required
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science
-
At least 1 year of relevant laboratory experience
-
Knowledge of cGMP regulations and FDA guidance for manufacturing of cell-based products as Assistant Scientist

Understanding of aseptic processes in a cleanroom environment
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to handle human-derived materials in BSL-2 environments
Preferred Qualifications
-
Aseptic gowning and ISO 5 biosafety cabinet experience

Familiarity with cell expansion and automated washing systems
-
Experience with MES (Electronic documentation) and ERP systems as Assistant Scientist

Knowledge of robotics, automated systems, or process monitoring

Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for long periods

Detail-oriented and procedural

Must maintain accurate records and present findings in technical reports
