Bachelor’s Life Sciences Job at BIDMC – Key Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced lab tests: DNA sequencing, gene cloning, in situ hybridization, northern blotting, and immunohistochemistry
- Manage and breed mouse colonies, including genotyping and accurate census documentation
- Support experimental feeding and treatment protocols with postdocs and students
- Operate moderate-to-complex lab instruments (e.g., flow cytometer, spectrophotometer)
- Analyze results and maintain detailed experimental records
- May prepare visual and statistical summaries for research reports
- Train new lab members on routine to complex lab techniques
- Attend mandatory safety and research training programs
Bachelor’s Life Sciences Job at BIDMC – Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related scientific field
- Experience: 1–3 years of lab experience OR a Master’s degree with equivalent technical knowledge
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of lab protocols and scientific theory
- Proficiency with MS Office and web-based lab applications
- Excellent documentation and analytical skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and independence
- Familiarity with laboratory safety, GLP, and animal handling
