Bio-Rad Quality Control Specialist – Biology/Microbiology/Biochemistry
Bio-Rad is looking for a Quality Control Specialist II that will work in a team-based environment to perform routine Precast QC assays on raw materials, in-process and final products.
Specialist II is expected to work in the lab 80% of their time with 20% desk work. This position be a lead to the EC group.

Eligibility Criteria
- BS/BA in Biology, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or equivalent years of work experience in a related field.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in the application of laboratory techniques in a manufacturing EC environment or equivalent.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with SAP ERP systems is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of basic laboratory techniques and equipment.
- Able to follow detailed procedures and have good documentation skills.
- Ability to multitask and must have good time management skills to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- High Level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment, make decisions of a limited scope which is subject to review.
- Good organization, communication, multi-tasking, and computer skills.
- Basic math skills in a science environment.
- Ability to lead small projects.
- Ability to lead basic troubleshooting.
This position is eligible for a $2,500 HIRING BONUS:
- Bonus offered for a limited time only.

Responsibilities
- Perform daily testing on batches with the following approved testing protocols.
Will conduct quality analysis on products then compare test results to specifications for batch disposition and perform data entry of test results. - Perform and lead troubleshooting when failures are encountered during EC testing.
- Help to design Environmental Control tests map if needed.
- Perform data analysis and data entry of test results in SAP, submit batch records for usage decision following good documentation practices (GDP).
- Participate in revising documentation or initiating quality notifications where needed to record deviations in workflows.
- Assist in maintaining 5S laboratory areas.
- Participate in the verification and validation of new process improvements.
- Assist supervisor in areas of evaluation and implementation of EC test procedures and departmental processes.
- Collaborate with co-workers to troubleshoot assays and instruments.
