We have an exciting opportunity for 2 Senior Bioinformatics Scientists to join our team in Cambridge or Singapore and participate in the effort to develop bioinformatic tools and software enabling precision medicine.
Location:Â Cambridge, England, or Singapore Northwest Woodlands

Role Summary:
The Bioinformatics & DRAGEN HW SW department at Illumina is looking for a bioinformatics scientist with experience in algorithm development, statistical modeling, and software development.

Responsibilities:
- Develop algorithms for analysis of various data types and platforms for translational research and clinical applications.
- Apply statistics, machine learning, and other computational methods to analyze large-scale genetic and epigenetic data.
- Design and develop software to address novel analytical challenges and to automate established analysis.
Required Skills and Experience:
- PhD in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Machine Learning, or related field plus 1-3 years of post-doctoral research or industry experience.
- Background in algorithm development, statistical modeling, generative AI, and software development.
- Deep understanding of statistics and bioinformatics algorithms.
- Programming experience with Python and/or R; proficiency in C, C++, C#, and/or Java is a plus.
