Role Overview
The intern will collaborate with multiple teams to curate bioinformatics tools and pre-existing biological predictive models that support the development of new enzymes and aptamers. They will investigate and fine-tune community AI models for use in oligonucleotide and protein design.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret scientific data, including next-generation sequencing data
- Develop novel algorithms to contribute to IDT product development
- Communicate results with the Bioinformatics and wet-bench scientific teams
Requirements
- Knowledge of Python or related programming languages
- Pursuing a BS or MS degree, or related field (Required). Must be a rising senior undergrad or first-year MS
- Ph.D. degree in Biology, or related field is a plus
- Knowledge of deep learning neural networks, biological systems, and/or biochemistry is desirable
The hourly range for this role is $25 – $30. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
