The Role
Our business is growing, and to ensure that this growth continues, we want you to strengthen our Molecular Biology capabilities in R&D. As a Technician, your work involves the skillful and precise execution of laboratory experiments related to molecular biology, microbiology, and biochemistry.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Performing laboratory experiments using mainly the following techniques: PCR, qPCR, isolation of genomic and plasmid DNA, growing microbial cultures (bacteria, fungi) on solid and liquid media (shake flask), and SDS PAGE. You also contribute to laboratory functionality.
- In addition to daily laboratory operations, your work includes documenting and compiling experimental results as a basis for regular reporting to your Line Manager and the Responsible Scientist.
- Executing tasks according to the defined specifications, the timelines, and the priorities, which are supervised and supported by the Responsible Scientist.
About You
Apprenticeship as a biological laboratory technician (Biologielaborant/in or BTA) or equivalent. Familiarity with sterile techniques and working in S1/S2 biological safety level laboratories. Practical experiences with standard technologies in molecular biology and microbiology, like PCR, qPCR, DNA isolation, and cultivation of bacteria/fungi. Experiences with bacterial and fungal production platforms are a Plus. We are looking for a reliable team player with a high level of responsibility and accountability, and a willingness to develop your skills further.
