About the Biology Internship
This full-time student internship is based at Insmed’s Research Development Lab in San Diego. As part of the Gene Therapy Research Team, you’ll collaborate with experienced scientists, contribute to experiments, and explore new technologies shaping the future of therapeutic gene therapy.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct laboratory experiments and analyze scientific data.

Perform cloning of expression vectors and DNA sequence analysis.

Utilize PCR techniques to evaluate gene expression.

Work with mammalian cell cultures and perform transfection procedures.

Characterize biomolecules using analytical methods, spectroscopy, and molecular biology tools.
Who You Are:
You’re a current Bachelor’s or Master’s student in biology, microbiology, cell biology, or pharmaceutics. You have a solid understanding of molecular and cellular biology, experience working in a research lab, and a strong enthusiasm for scientific discovery. Excellent communication skills, organization, and attention to detail are essential for success in this life science internship.
