Biology Jobs in US- Role:
As an Associate Scientist II, Biology, you will:
- Support high-throughput screening and the design of primary assays to identify novel hits and chemical scaffolds.
- Execute experiments for lead optimization, including structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies, and profile compounds across various assays.
- Perform routine molecular and cell biology techniques, such as RNA purification and quantification (PCR, qRT-PCR, ddPCR), mammalian cell culture, DNA/RNA transfection, Lentiviral transduction, RNAi/CRISPR, cytotoxicity assays, and luciferase-based reporter assays.
- Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks, contribute to internal presentations, publications, and patent development.
- Support general lab operations, including equipment maintenance, inventory management, and clean workspace standards.
- Assist in vivo studies and explore alternatives to preclinical animal models as required.
Scientist Jobs- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, or related field with ≥5 years’ experience, OR Master’s degree with ≥2 years’ relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, RNA research, molecular cloning, western blot, ELISA/MSD, and compound screening.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, effective verbal and written communication, and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in high-throughput assays (96-/384-well format), genome editing, stem cell biology, flow cytometry, primary neuron culture, and laboratory automation.
- Background in neurobiology and cell-based assay development.
Research Jobs- Work Details:
- Full-time, onsite in Bridgewater, NJ (Mon-Fri).
- Occasional weekend work may be required for maintaining cell cultures.
- Travel up to 5%.
- Base salary range: $81,000–$100,000, plus eligibility for short- and long-term incentives, and medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.
