- Job Title: Junior Laboratory Analyst

Role Purpose:
As a Junior Laboratory Analyst, you will support the Water Microbiology Department, playing an essential role in ensuring accurate and safe testing processes.
Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of microbiological media, such as agar, for laboratory analysis.

Water sample preparation and microbiological testing according to company protocols.

Operation and training on laboratory equipment.

Data entry and accurate record-keeping within the UKAS quality system.

Reporting any anomalies to the Laboratory Supervisor.

Maintaining high safety and housekeeping standards to prevent cross-contamination.
Candidate Requirements:

A-level in a science-related subject, preferably Biology.

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, Maths, and Science.

Computer literacy, with skills in MS Office (particularly Excel).

Strong organisational skills with the ability to work accurately in a busy environment.

Team player with the initiative to work independently when required.
