Job Description:

The Associate Scientist, Cell Therapy Process Development, will support the development and optimization of robust, scalable, and affordable CAR-T manufacturing processes. This is a lab-based role that requires hands-on expertise in experimental design, execution, troubleshooting, and data analysis, contributing directly to advancements in next-generation cell therapy manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute scale-down and full-scale cell therapy process development experiments.
  • Compile, analyze, and interpret experimental data using statistical methods.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and prepare detailed Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) entries.
  • Author experimental protocols and development reports.
  • Troubleshoot routine technical or operational challenges and drive continuous improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support fast turnaround timelines.
  • Assist in lab maintenance and inventory of reagents and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • BS or MS degree in Cell Biology, Bioengineering, or related field.
  • 2โ€“5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong background in experimental design, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with statistical tools (JMP preferred).
  • Proven skills in technical writing and thorough documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with mammalian or primary cell culture.
  • Prior experience in process development, cell therapy manufacturing, or process characterization is preferred.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments, including occasional weekend work.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Starting salary range: $82,000 โ€“ $102,000 annually, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).
