Job Summary
As an ETCT Assay Scientist, you will work within the Technical Lab Services (TLS) division of PerkinElmer, which is embedded at a leading pharmaceutical customer site focused on oncology. You’ll contribute to vital R&D initiatives supporting a broad biotherapeutic portfolio. The role demands hands-on laboratory experience in cell culture, assay development, and data analysis, and offers growth through mentorship and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine lab research, including cell culture, reagent preparation, and assay support
- Execute biological assays using manual and automated systems
- Analyze assay data and apply quality control standards for reporting
- Track assay performance and support method optimization
- Participate in scientific team meetings, present data, and propose innovations
- Support the development of SOPs, risk assessments, and best practice protocols
- Promote health and safety compliance and operate within quality standards
- Work independently while aligning with team priorities and project deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- BSc in Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field
- 1+ year of laboratory experience with demonstrated expertise in bioassays
- Strong knowledge of cell culture techniques and aseptic processing
- Familiarity with automated assay platforms
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate scientific data effectively
