At our pre-clinical development site in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, we are currently looking for a Research Assistant to join our Cytogenetic laboratory in the Genetic Toxicology department.
BSc Life Sciences Research Assistant Job – Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and supplies (e.g., cleaning, calibrations, reagent prep/disposal)
- Manage and record laboratory equipment and logs
- Prepare laboratory worksheets and perform standard cytogenetic assays
- Record, verify, and analyze study data accurately
- Work with blood and cell lines in the Genetic Toxicology department
Required Qualifications:
- Education: BSc in Life Sciences or a related discipline
- Experience:
- Experience in a lab environment is desirable
- Familiarity with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), aseptic techniques, and cell culture is a plus
- Skilled in basic mathematical calculations and scientific data recording
