Clinical Research Intern – Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Research Intern, you will directly support cutting-edge research focused on brain health, aging, and health equity. You will gain extensive hands-on experience working directly with human research participants and coordinating multi-site studies.

Your day-to-day clinical and operational duties will include:

  • Participant Recruitment & Screening: Actively recruiting, screening, and enrolling research participants, with a highly specific strategic focus on increasing the participation of older Black men in brain health and aging research.
  • Clinical Assessments: Administering comprehensive health, social history, and psychiatric assessments, as well as neuropsychological testing.
  • Logistics & Coordination: Managing participant scheduling, organizing travel arrangements, and handling the logistics for complex multi-site visits.
  • Biospecimen & Data Management: Assisting directly with biospecimen collection and processing. You will collect, record, and meticulously maintain high-quality research data in strict accordance with approved study protocols.
  • Analysis & Visualization: Performing basic statistical analyses and supporting data visualization efforts for upcoming manuscripts and grant submissions.
  • Research Development: Conducting comprehensive literature reviews and assisting principal investigators with the development of experimental procedures.

Qualifications & Skills Required For Clinical Research Intern
