Corteva Molecular Biology Job

This position supports one of the humanitarian projects in the Philanthropic Pillar funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, focusing on improving the productivity of sorghum and cowpea. This individual will work closely with an experienced research scientist in the innovative study of reproductive biology to improve crop productivity.

Responsibilities

    Works with group leader to plan and to execute experiments efficiently and accurately
    Conducts experiments independently and in a timely manner
  • Perform nucleic acid analysis
  • Perform plant phenotyping in controlled environments and conduct data analysis
  • Corteva Molecular Biology Job Document research and report results and conclusions in written and/or oral form
  • Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks
  • Contributes to maintaining a safe and respectful work environment
  • Translate reproductive phenotyping into the development and execution of the next experiment.

Qualifications

Requirements for Corteva Molecular Biology Job

  • MS degree in Plant Science, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related field; or BS degree in related field with 3-year relevant laboratory expertise
  • Demonstrated proficiency in molecular genetics and plant developmental biology
  • Recombinant DNA technology
  • Reproductive biology experience and understanding
  • Demonstrated innovative thinking
  • Genome editing and variant characterization
  • Reproductive phenotyping

Preferences

Corteva Molecular Biology Job

  • PCR and flow cytometry experience
  • Strong written and oral skills
  • Proven ability to work in collaborative team settings
