About the Role:
The Entry Level Lab Technician I at Sanguine Biosciences will be responsible for the processing and testing of various blood samples. This role is crucial for accurate and efficient data collection and analysis in the field of personalized medicine. The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic team dedicated to advancing medical research and improving healthcare outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Accurately document and accession biospecimen collection information
- Create, label, and perform quality control on reagents
- Perform laboratory procedures using various techniques
- Work with human biological samples including blood, plasma, serum, etc.
- Prepare, process, and ship biological samples to outside laboratories
- Maintain accurate records of specimen storage and distribution
- Ensure safety and compliance with SOPs and regulations
- Support troubleshooting of processing equipment
- Other job functions and special projects as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Bachelorโs degree or Associateโs Degree with experience in a life science laboratory
- Experience with mammalian blood samples and biobanking
- Effective communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in a BSL-2 Lab setting
- Ability to lift 40 lbs
Schedule:
Tuesday – Saturday 9:00am-5:30pm
For the first month, training schedule is Monday – Friday 9:00am-5:30pm
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour based on experience
Overtime eligibility based on business needs
