Job Description
As a Food Safety and Quality Co-op at Johnsonville, youโll work closely with the R&D team at the Johnsonville Technical Center. This role allows students to apply academic knowledge in real-world projects, supporting food safety, auditing, and quality control systems. The co-op is designed to strengthen professional skills while contributing to Johnsonvilleโs mission of delivering top-quality food products.
Key Responsibilities
- Train new and existing team members on food safety and quality programs.
- Audit and verify compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Identify, define, and resolve food safety and quality issues.
- Participate in third-party audits with strong performance results.
- Lead projects and teams to successful outcomes.
- Gain practical experience with HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, SOPs, and quality plans.
- Work cross-functionally with different departments to ensure product quality.
- Effectively manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree in Food Safety, Quality, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Junior or senior status preferred.
- Minimum 2.7 GPA overall and 3.0 GPA in core concentration.
Experience and Skills
Prior work experience in food safety or quality.
