Job Description:

RayzeBio, a Bristol Myers Squibb company, is seeking an Associate Scientist I in Microbiology to support contamination control and sterility assurance testing at its Indianapolis manufacturing facility. This role involves environmental monitoring and microbiological release testing of aseptically produced targeted alpha therapy (TAT) radiopharmaceuticals for clinical and commercial programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine environmental monitoring in cleanrooms (airborne, surface, particulate)
  • Perform microbiological analyses of radiopharmaceuticals, raw materials, and components
  • Support aseptic manufacturing activities such as media fills and personnel sampling
  • Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques, SOPs, and GMP regulations
  • Prepare sample data, results, reports, and other documentation
  • Assist with lab housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and consumables management
  • Subculture and quantify microbial growth from plates
  • Provide technical, quality, and safety information to lab management
  • Participate in troubleshooting and investigations of environmental excursions
  • Work extended hours or weekends as per the radiopharmaceutical manufacturing schedule

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelorโ€™s degree in Biology, Microbiology, or Life Sciences
  • 0-1 years of relevant experience in production or QC in a cGMP/FDA-regulated facility
  • High school diploma acceptable with sufficient cleanroom and environmental monitoring experience
  • Experience in sterile manufacturing and/or radiopharmaceuticals preferred
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional ethics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
