Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technician in the Genomics Laboratory of the University of Sheffield. The Facility supports research in environmental, ecological, and evolutionary biology, with expertise in genome sequencing, marker analysis, population genomics, metabarcoding, and environmental DNA detection.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Provide technical support for the Facility
- Assist visiting researchers
- Participate in research and development activities
Person Specification
Applicants should have a BTEC/A level in Biology or equivalent experience, along with knowledge of Molecular Ecology techniques and next-generation sequencing or genotyping techniques.
