Job Description

The internship pathway is structured for early-career life-science diploma and degree holders seeking hands-on protein and cell-culture laboratory exposure in a commercial biotech setting under supervisor guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting experiments and analysing/processing experimental data, including analysing and sorting unqualified data.
  • Research activities that may include cell culture, protein purification, concentration testing, SDS-PAGE, Western blot analysis, endotoxin testing, HPLC and LC-MS analysis of protein samples.
  • Setting up experiments, running samples and writing experimental records.
  • Participating in multiple R&D projects as part of the field project team.
  • Proper documentation of experimental records.
  • Routine lab hygiene including 5S of work areas, stocktaking and consumable replenishment.
  • Performing routine checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure it is working correctly.
  • Following all safety protocols and SOPs to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Completing other relevant tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent.
  • Freshers eligible.

Required Skills

  • Familiarity with the experimental operation of SDS-PAGE, Western blots, LC-MS, HPLC and other protein detection methods.
  • Good troubleshooting skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good teamwork skills.
