GSK Internship in Italy: Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of bacterial cultures for the expression of protein targets.
- Support in biochemical and microbiological experiments, including SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, and chromatography techniques.
- Collection, recording, and preliminary analysis of experimental data using spreadsheets and laboratory systems.
- Maintenance of laboratory notebooks and documentation, ensuring appropriate sample tracking and storage.
- Support in reagent preparation, equipment checks, and routine laboratory maintenance activities.
- Contribution to the preparation of clear scientific documentation and communication of results to the team.

Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s Degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related Life Sciences discipline.
- Previous laboratory internship or hands-on experience with microbiology or molecular biology techniques.
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems or electronic laboratory notebooks.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Basic data visualization skills and experience summarizing experimental findings.
