They are currently looking for a Microbiologist to join our second shift team (3:30 pm-11:50 pm, Monday through Friday) in Dayton, NJ. As part of the Quality Control department, the Microbiologist will be responsible for testing finished products and raw materials. This position will execute microbiological analyses based on standard operating procedures and will be responsible for a combination of sample preparation, microbiological test interpretation, and reporting in support of production. All analyses will need to be executed under strict deadlines.

Required Experience
• Associates degree in Microbiology or science-related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a micro-laboratory environment, preferably in the chemical industry
Required Skills
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience using SAP
• Ability to execute analyses and achieve results
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Receiving and preparing raw, in-process, and finished product samples for microbiological analysis
• Performing microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products using agar plates and 3M Petrifilm
• Preparing and maintaining laboratory reagents and medium
• Performing swab testing of production equipment and facilities
• Performing water and air testing
• Cleaning and sterilizing lab equipment
• Operating testing equipment (Scales, Autoclave, Masterclave, Pipettes, Vidas)
• Performing other duties as assigned
