Research Technician II – Molecular Microbiology – Washington University, Apply Now!
Are you passionate about molecular biology and interested in advancing phage therapy? The LeRoux Lab at Washington University offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking bacteriophage research. This full-time lab assistant position supports experiments that explore the molecular arms race between bacteria and viruses, helping develop new strategies to treat bacterial infections.
About Us
The LeRoux Lab studies the interactions of bacterial pathogens with their viruses, bacteriophages. We investigate the molecular arms race between bacteria and these viruses by discovering and characterizing new bacterial phage defense mechanisms, as well as the mechanisms by which phage can overcome this bacterial “immune system.” Our long-term goal is to use this knowledge to advance the treatment of bacterial infections with phage therapy.
