Laboratory Technician III Job Description
The Laboratory Technician III will play a crucial role in planning and performing experiments that require knowledge of molecular biology, biochemistry, and genetics. Responsibilities include conducting assays, basic cell culture work, and maintaining lab inventory. The technician will also assist with lab maintenance and must be proficient with computer software.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct specified laboratory experiments/tests using established methods.
- Prepare equipment and instrumentation for experiments.
- Record observations and troubleshoot experiments as necessary.
- Collect and analyze data, presenting findings to the Principal Investigator.
- Maintain day-to-day care and housekeeping of the laboratory.
- Instruct others in laboratory methods and provide technical guidance.
- Establish effective communication and positive working relationships with colleagues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Laboratory Technician III Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Immunology, Cell Biology or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of relevant lab experience required.
