About the Job
Insmed is seeking a Senior Research Associate with significant experience in droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing ddPCR assays, quantifying DNA and mRNA from both in vitro and in vivo samples. In addition to expertise in ddPCR, proficiency in general cellular and molecular biology is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Mastery and execution of ddPCR assays developed in partnership with the supervisor.
- Following protocols and SOPs related to ddPCR lab work with in vitro and in vivo samples.
- Extraction of DNA and RNA from samples for analysis.
- Documentation of results in appropriate formats provided by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in Biology, Biotech, or a related field. Graduate degree holders are encouraged to apply.
- Significant and demonstrated experience in the operation of BioRad ddPCR equipment (QX200), as well as assay development, optimization, and interpretation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and present research results in written reports and team presentations.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and train other laboratory staff in technical matters.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, with a strong willingness to take on new challenges required to bring novel medicines to the clinic.
- Strict adherence to environmental, health, and safety guidelines.
Salary Range
$80,000 – $105,800 a year
