Job Title: Research Associate, Molecular Biology and Cell Culture
Location: San Diego, CA

Responsibilities:
- Maintain cell culture models and generate stable cell lines.
- Conduct phenotypic in vitro assays, including ELISA, qPCR, immunofluorescence imaging, and FACS, across different cell types.
- Generate plasmids and scale up production using standard molecular biology pipelines.
- Process tissue through standard genomics pipelines (e.g., generation of bulk and single-cell RNA sequencing libraries).
- Thoroughly document processes and results.
- Assist with routine lab tasks (e.g., lab management, ordering, receiving).
- Present findings at internal group meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree plus at least two years of wet lab experience in a molecular and cell biology lab (industry or academia).
- Experience with mammalian cell culture, basic molecular biology techniques, genomics assays, NGS library preparation, and tissue processing.
- Excellent record-keeping skills and ability to maintain cooperative working relationships.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with stable cell line generation, lentivirus and AAV generation, and in vivo experience.
Salary Range for San Diego, CA:
- Research Associates I: $84,150 – $113,850
- Research Associates II: $101,150 – $136,850
