Life Science Job at Eli Lilly – Purpose of the Job:
The diagnostics laboratory at Lilly supports pre-screening, clinical trials, and assay development activities, as well as diagnostic testing to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The Associate Research Scientist is responsible for supporting the laboratoryโs scientific development program, focusing on the development of biomarker assays to aid in drug development.
Life Science Job at Eli Lilly – Key Responsibilities
- Conduct literature reviews to guide hypothesis development.
- Design, execute, and troubleshoot laboratory biomarker experiments under the guidance of a scientist.
- Analyze data using statistical tools and organize results for presentations and regulatory purposes.
- Write scientific protocols, regulatory documents, manuscripts, and technical reports.
- Support assay development and optimization for clinical and regulatory applications.
- Handle clinical trial samples and maintain data in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
- Present scientific findings and communicate updates to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Participate in internal audits and quality management processes.
Life Science Job at Eli Lilly – Required Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree in life science with 3+ years of lab experience, or
- Masterโs degree in life science with 1+ year lab experience
- Legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship offered)
Preferred Skills
- Background in neuroscience, immunology, or cardiometabolic health
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, R, or other analytical tools
- Familiarity with CAP/CLSI guidelines
- Knowledge of immunoassays, molecular techniques, and assay validation
- Strong skills in technical writing, presentation, and project management
