Job Overview

Alcon invites applications for the role of Technician II in Chemical Production Operations, a key life sciences job at Alcon. In this position, you will perform routine and non-routine chemical production tasks, maintain calibration and documentation, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine processes in chemical production operations.
  • Manage and maintain calibration, documentation, inventory (cycle counts), and maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with technical, quality, and safety SOPs.
  • Participate in or initiate projects to improve process efficiency and reduce operating costs.
  • Follow Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines; report unsafe conditions, injuries, or hazardous material releases.
  • Handle chemicals safely and ensure proper waste disposal.
  • Support implementation of the Data Integrity (DI) Program.
  • Participate in various chemical production operations job tasks to enhance production workflow.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum NITEC in Chemical Process Technology, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical and Life Sciences, or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing environments, production operations, or GMP/GDP manufacturing sectors.
  • Ability to lift heavy weights; a Forklift license is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and ability to follow SOPs.
