Life Sciences Job at Eurofins – Key Responsibilities:
As an Upstream Biochemist, you will support biopharmaceutical production processes, including:
- Initiate and expand culture flasks and monitor growth via Vi-Cell
- Setup and maintain WAVE Bioreactors and 50L SUBs
- Prepare and administer feeds to bioreactors and schedule harvests
- Perform bioreactor sampling and coordinate downstream delivery
- Order and manage inventory for media and feeds
- Maintain detailed and GMP-compliant documentation
- Support lab maintenance, waste handling, and daily cleanup
- Interface with clients and teams with exceptional communication
Life Sciences Job at Eurofins – Required Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in a scientific field (Biology, Biotech, Biochemistry, etc.)
- OR equivalent experience (2 years of relevant industry experience = 1 year of college)
- Strong lab experience, especially in cell culture and upstream processing
- Familiarity with WAVE Bioreactors, Vi-Cell counters, and aseptic techniques
- Excellent documentation and organization skills
- Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and lab safety
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word)
