Summary
Assistance in various areas of laboratory operations for gas and hydrocarbon liquids testing in accordance with business needs of the Branch and Region, and in conformance with the Company’s Quality Management System.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive samples submitted for testing by logging pertinent information into LIMS system.
- Report analytical results to customers and interact with them as needed.
- Perform analytical testing using standardized methodologies such as GPA and ASTM.
- Help maintain laboratory equipment and carry out routine maintenance when required.
- Respect and follow laboratory safety practices.
Qualification Requirements for Laboratory Technician Job Opportunity
Education and/or Experience:
- Must have experience working in a laboratory setup, preferably with GC instruments.
- College Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Physical or Life Science.
- Minimum two years of laboratory experience and/or training.
Language Skills
Ability to read, write, and speak effectively within the laboratory setting.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to interpret scientific formulas and technical reports related to chemicals.
Physical Demands
Ability to meet physical requirements such as standing, walking, lifting, and vision capabilities.
Work Environment
Work environment will involve exposure to various chemical and mechanical hazards.
