The Position
As a Manufacturing Biotechnologist Trainee at Roche, you will work within the Train & Place Program, gaining hands-on experience in biochemical manufacturing, fermentation, and protein purification processes while adhering to cGMP standards and Roche’s corporate principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Support biochemical manufacturing objectives
- Operate and monitor processing equipment
- Maintain safety and compliance standards
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues
- Participate in cross-functional collaboration
Qualifications
- Fresh Graduates with a degree in Life Sciences or Engineering are eligible.
- Diploma holders: minimum 3 years of experience; NITEC holders: minimum 7 years.
- Biologics or biotechnology experience is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, interpersonal communication, and teamwork skills.
- Self-starter with a focus on safety, quality, attention to detail, and results.
- Ability to work weekends, off-shifts, and overtime as needed.
- Physical ability to carry loads up to 25kg.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with computer-based systems preferred.
- Background in microbiology, fermentation, or protein purification is desirable.
