The Position

As a Manufacturing Biotechnologist Trainee at Roche, you will work within the Train & Place Program, gaining hands-on experience in biochemical manufacturing, fermentation, and protein purification processes while adhering to cGMP standards and Roche’s corporate principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support biochemical manufacturing objectives
  • Operate and monitor processing equipment
  • Maintain safety and compliance standards
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues
  • Participate in cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

  • Fresh Graduates with a degree in Life Sciences or Engineering are eligible.
  • Diploma holders: minimum 3 years of experience; NITEC holders: minimum 7 years.
  • Biologics or biotechnology experience is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, interpersonal communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Self-starter with a focus on safety, quality, attention to detail, and results.
  • Ability to work weekends, off-shifts, and overtime as needed.
  • Physical ability to carry loads up to 25kg.
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with computer-based systems preferred.
  • Background in microbiology, fermentation, or protein purification is desirable.
