Job Summary:
Assist Process Engineer in Formula Recipe Management workstream. Conduct studies and organize data relating to efficiencies in the line flow process to maximize Raw Material Utilization and Total Solids Utilization.
Duties & Responsibilties:
The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists in developing and performing Design of Experiments in conjunction with the Process Engineering team.
- Gather and coordinate resource requirements for Process Control Studies.
- Assist in carrying out Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility studies and Measurement Systems Analysis.
- Develop Gage R&R Methodology and procedures.
Responsible for calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment and instrumentation. - Responsible for Best Operating Practice (BOP) implementation along with the Processing Area Manager and subordinates.
- Determine and correct gaps of Burley’s compliance with Global McCain BOPs.
- Create Standard Operating Procedures, One Point Lessons, and Standard Work for BOPs and Process Control procedures.
- Utilize Infinity database to include updating, creating and modifying projects as needed.

- Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box.
- Requires in-depth knowledge of laboratory equipment and other instrumentation, operations, and maintenance.
- Requires working knowledge of Statistical Process Control concepts, principles, and calculations.
- Proficiency with the Excel and MS Office suite of tools is necessary.
- Knowledge of Infinity and SAP software applications.
- General knowledge of most production and processing areas of the plant.
- Must have demonstrated the ability to work both independently and under immediate supervision, function effectively under time constraints, and multitask based on the nature of the work.
- Requires flexibility of work schedule. The normal schedule is eight hours per day, five days per week, but will be required to work other shifts and weekend hours as needed.
- Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.
