Job Description– Associate Scientist
As an Associate Scientist, you will support GMP virus production scheduling and execution, ensuring compliance with GMP standards. You will work alongside experienced scientists, providing technical support, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and gaining valuable hands-on experience in a global operational setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in scheduling GMP virus productions to meet global demand.
- Support the Responsible Scientist to ensure GMP compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and support to lab staff.
- Monitor virus stock levels and assist in release processes.
- Investigate deviations and nonconformances with scientific accuracy.
- Maintain and revise SOPs, risk assessments, and laboratory documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and departmental projects.
- Support audits and assist in the resolution of findings.
- Participate in training and coaching laboratory personnel.
- Ensure availability of consumables and reagents prior to virus initiation.
- Review production data for accuracy and compliance.
- Stay updated with SOPs and regulations (cGMP and GLP).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Associate Scientist
- Degree in Biology, Virology, or related field with 1+ years lab experience.
- Basic technical knowledge in virus production or related areas.
- Familiarity with GMP/GLP environments.
- Strong communication, time management, and coaching skills.
- Proficient in relevant software tools, including Labware LIMS.
- Actively maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
