About the job:
A Medical Technologist (MT) at Accu Reference Medical Lab performs clinical laboratory procedures, examinations, and tests focusing on accuracy, quality, and patient care support. The role involves maintaining equipment and records and conducting quality assurance activities related to examination performance. The Microbiologist will be responsible for providing prompt and precise laboratory test results.
Shift: Wednesday to Sunday, 10 am to 6:30 pm
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performs laboratory tests on specimens accurately and promptly following established protocols.
- Adapts to changing technology and follows testing, reporting, and operational policies.
- Maintains high quality and accuracy of work, demonstrating a high level of independent judgment.
- Performs quality control (QC) and proficiency testing as assigned.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
- Experience: Must be qualified as a Medical Technologist in accordance with New York State Department of Health regulations.
- Licensure/Certificates: Current valid licensure by NYS SED as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist is required.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, communication, time management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Physical Requirements: Extensive standing, walking, and visual acuity.
