Microbiology Job – Key Responsibilities
As a Microbiology Laboratory Technician, your primary objective is to prepare and analyze customer food samples efficiently while maintaining strict compliance with corporate quality and accuracy standards.
Your day-to-day bench and operational duties will include:
- Sample Preparation: Developing complete competency in the technical preparation and handling of diverse food samples for microbiological analysis.
- Method Execution: Learning, mastering, and adhering to all relevant laboratory test methods, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and strict in-house quality guidelines.
- ISO 17025 Compliance: Ensuring continuous compliance with the ISO 17025 laboratory standard at all times by executing perfect quality control workflows.
- Data Recording: Completing all laboratory documentation, data entries, and sample tracking records on time, accurately, and legibly.
- Equipment & Facility Care: Cleaning and maintaining vital laboratory hardware—including fridges, incubators, and water baths—while executing routine checks on weights and temperatures.
- Inventory Control: Keeping the laboratory fully stocked with consumables like pipettes and autoclave bags, and auditing reagents and media to ensure no expired materials are used.
- Workplace Sanitization: Keeping lab areas clean, tidy, and ensuring all sanitizer bottles or beakers are regularly refilled, changed, and correctly labeled.

- First Two Weeks (Training Period): Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:15 PM.
- Standard Regular Shift: Monday to Thursday, 11:45 AM – 8:00 PM, and Friday, 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM.
