Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in applied science
- Minimum 2 years of similar laboratory experience
- Technical knowledge in analytical techniques within Environmental and/or Food testing fields
Key Responsibilities of the Microbiology Analyst:
- Process samples across various laboratories
- Oversee analysts and technicians to meet daily production expectations
- Conduct routine training for lab staff and maintain training records
- Provide technical and scientific guidance; validate new methods and projects
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory, accreditation, certification, and licensing requirements
- In this Microbiology Analyst role, you have to supervise laboratory procedures and validate results
- Maintain detailed testing records and manage all testing activities
- Review analytical data for accuracy and oversee final report review
- Monitor QA/QC performance standards and reliability of laboratory data
- Collaborate with sales and project teams to meet client needs
- Define staff qualification requirements and ensure proper training documentation
- Participate in research, instrument acquisition, installation, and validation
- Support QA/QC audits, investigations, and corrective actions
- Interpret technical results and communicate laboratory capabilities to clients
- Work with leadership on internal investigations, non-conformances, corrective actions, and audit issues
